We are excited to announce that we are now partners with Take 3 a non for profit organisation on a mission to reduce plastic pollution in Australia and around the globe. We plan to help spread their simple message – Whenever you’re at a beach, waterway or anywhere in the great outdoors, simply take 3 pieces of rubbish away with you and you’ve made a difference.
Plastic gets into the ocean in all sorts of ways but most of it comes from land. By preventing the problem in the first place, we can start to make a real impact in reducing plastic pollution. Picking up other people’s rubbish may not be a natural instinct, but we always find that once we get started we pick up many more than just 3 items. Our mini blondies Marli and Ziggy are also conscious of picking up rubbish and keeping our waterways clean and we hope that by teaching them to look after our environment the message will be passed on to the younger generation.
As we travel around Australia on our Lap Of Oz adventure we will be doing our bit to help keep our oceans and waterways clean of plastic and rubbish by collecting rubbish from all the places we visit. If you want to join our awesome Take 3 tribe simply start collecting rubbish and if you can, help spread the word by sharing what you’ve collected.
✓ Simply take a picture and upload it to Instagram or Facebook
✓ Use the hashtag #Take3fortheSea
✓ Log the location (geo tag) and record the number of items that you have removed and how long it took you.
✓ If you want to go the extra mile, Take 3 would love you to include additional information like: distance travelled, brand items, recent weather events or anything else you think is relevant.
This will help measure the tangible difference we’re making as a collective!
Lots of small individual actions can have a big impact on the planet. The more people who join the Take 3 tribe and take action, the more we can do for the world’s oceans! simply pick it up. Bin it. #TAKE3FORTHESEA

This is such a great idea. I absolutely hate seeing garbage on the beach. It’s so irresponsible. Just pick up after yourself and help save our nature. Love spreading the word about this.
